On trilogies

There are apparently more than 12 actors out there that have starred in two triliogies. Each actor, that is, has had a role in six movies playing the same character in two sets of three.
I'll give you the most obvious as an example, to give you the hang of it: Harrison Ford in the Indiana Jones and Star Wars flicks.
Same actor. Same character in each trilogy. That's what we're looking for.
One of the remaining 11 is a woman. Remember animated features are big right now. The films are not obscure in the least.
That's all the hints you get.
Go.
ADDENDUM: Two additional actors have been brought to my attention, both male, bringing the total to 14 (so far). You probably won't get one if you don't have kids, but if you do, you'll get the other.
ADDENDUM II: Two more names go on the list, one of them a woman, so we're up to 16. Probably more out there kids, c'mon and put your minds to it (unless you're running a congressional campaign, in which case you should probably give your mind a break).

i came up with these not sure if they all "count" because some played the character more than 6 times:

eddie murphy -
beverley hills cop and shrek

hugo weaving -
lotr and the matrix

patrick stewart -
xmen and star trek (though there were more than 3)

and the only woman i could think of was

talia shire
the godfather and rocky (again more than 3)

Pete, you are seriously going nuts, aren't you?
I actually hadn't considered Anthony Daniels, but you definitely found a new one there.
I'm not sure about Eastwood, though, because it's not clear if he played the same character in all three westerns.
Same for Bruce Campbell - all different characters in the Spider-man series.
But you nailed one with James Earl Jones.
So with Myers, Damon, Bloom, Stallone, McKellan, Murphy, Weaving, Stewart, Shire (well done, Tracy) Gibson, and Ford, that's all of them and then some.
Well done to all who played along. This has officially been the most response I've ever gotten to a blorg.

i so had gibson and forgot when i was typing out my post i knew i left one off lol

i thought about eastwood but the characters aren't listed as the same in 3 movies - they all had differant names, well if you call ' blonide' a name.

I had also considered Tony Todd because he was in the Candyman trilogy and all 3 Final Destination movies, but in the 3rd he was a voice cameo as the voice of Satan not as the mortician from the previous 2 so i left him off, same with bruce campbell - i was seriously going nuts playing this game hahaha - u know how i can get!

that was so much fun!

Actually, I think I'm taking Anthony Daniels back off the list. Though they were made 20-odd years apart, the two sets of trilogies are really of the same story line, and he only plays one character. Sorry Pete.
